Development of the concept and functionalities of News Management System NewsRoom.
Objectives
The objective of the project was to develop a concept and determine functionalities for a new IT solution for news management within the corporation and production of various on-line and off-line electronic publications. The consultancy project should create a basis for development of a new software solution and its successful implementation in corporate network of TP S.A.
Methods
In the project the analysis of creation and management of news was done at various company levels, and experience of using the existing news management system was evaluated. The analysis was carried out in cooperation with Corporate Communication and PR Department of TP S.A. Based on the analysis a concept of a new news editing and management procedure was developed and methods of production of several types of electronic publications (e.g. daily briefings, newsletters, corporate portal and others) were proposed. The solution was evaluated by a group of future users to assess its comfort and effectiveness.
Result
The results of the analysis were presented in a report document for further use in technical development project of the News Management System v. 2.0 and its implementation. Guidance for the system architecture and detailed description of the functionalities at news editing and electronic publication levels created a sound basis for production of a customised software solution and its successful integration with the existing IT systems of Telekomunikacja Polska.
